Nextmark Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version: Nextmark has no account and no server of its own. What you save stays on your devices and in your own private iCloud database. The AI that sorts and summarizes it runs on your device. Nextmark collects no usage data, has no analytics or advertising, and doesn't track you.

What Nextmark stores, and where

Everything you save (links, page text, highlights, screenshots, photos, PDFs, files and your notes), and everything Nextmark works out about it (titles, summaries, dates, places, groups, Briefs and actions), is stored on your device, inside the app's own container.

If iCloud sync is on (it is by default, and you can turn it off in Nextmark's Settings), the library is also kept in your private iCloud database, so it can appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The contents of each save are stored in end-to-end encrypted fields that only your devices can read. Attached files, the originals and their small previews, are stored as iCloud assets in the same private database. They're end-to-end encrypted when Advanced Data Protection is on for your Apple Account. You can stop original files from syncing with "Sync Original Files" in Settings. We, the developer, have no access to your iCloud data.

The AI runs on your device

Nextmark uses Apple Intelligence's on-device language model, Apple's on-device text recognition (Vision) and on-device language embeddings to read, sort, summarize and search your saves. This processing happens on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Nextmark doesn't send your content to us or to any AI service.

Network access the app does use

  • The pages you save. To read a saved link's title, text and details, Nextmark downloads that page directly from its website, the same way a browser would. The website sees an ordinary request from your device.
  • iCloud, for sync, if it's on.
  • The App Store, if you buy Nextmark Pro or restore a purchase.

None of these go through a server we operate.

Permissions the app may ask for

Nextmark asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it:

  • Photos (iPhone and iPad): when you start Screenshot Rescue, to read the screenshots in your library. Nextmark deletes screenshots from Photos only when you choose Clean Up Photos and confirm in the system's own dialog. Deleted photos stay in Photos' Recently Deleted for 30 days.
  • Notifications: when the first Moment or Weekly Review reminder is scheduled.
  • Screen Recording (Mac): only when you capture a screenshot with Quick Capture. Nextmark's own windows are left out of the capture.

Files you share to Nextmark are copied into the app. Nextmark has no access to anything else on your device.

No analytics, advertising or tracking

Nextmark contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party software development kits that collect data. Nothing about how you use the app is sent to us automatically. We don't build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share data with anyone, because we don't collect any. If you choose to share crash reports or usage data with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may provide anonymized crash reports to us under Apple's own privacy policy.

Purchases

Nextmark Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and gives the app only what it needs to unlock Pro. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account.

Deleting your data

  • Delete items or groups in the app. Deletions also apply in iCloud and on your other devices.
  • To remove Nextmark's iCloud data entirely: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage › Nextmark. On Mac, open System Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage. Sync then turns itself off in Nextmark until you turn it back on.
  • Deleting the app removes everything it stored on that device.

Children's privacy

Nextmark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The app collects none from anyone.
